National Scholars

Military

\ Texas A&M was established as a military institution in 1876 and, after becoming an open-enrollment university since, owes much of its traditions and history to the United States Military and Corps of Cadets. To honor our history and assist veterans, active-duty service people and their dependents, we offer special resources and assistive services.\ \

Brazos Valley Promise is a partnership program between Texas A&M University, school districts, students and their families. This program provides first-generation, low-income students with access to college-focused programming and the support they need to pursue higher education. By equipping students with these tools, Brazos Valley Promise bridges the gap between underrepresented students and a quality education.
