Military Education Benefits

Veterans that attend a Texas public college or university have access to both federal and state benefits, financial aid and scholarships to make education more affordable.\ \ Enrollment at Texas A&M does not guarantee receipt of aid. Scholarships and financial aid must be applied for through their appropriate applications. Financial aid offers are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to fund availability. Incoming transfer students and freshman can apply for scholarships through the Common App or ApplyTexas application. Graduate students must contact the department they're applying to for further information. Currently enrolled students may apply to scholarships through the University Scholarship Application.\ \ Texas A&M University does not engage in or consent to high-pressure recruitment tactics for the purpose of securing enrollment of Service members.\ \

Undergraduate Military Admissions

\ Undergraduate Military Admissions is dedicated to providing transitional support and admissions advising to prospective undergraduate student veterans, current military members, spouses and dependents. Our counselors will guide you through the freshman and transfer admissions processes, evaluate college credits from previous institutions and assist with choosing a major by discussing your career goals. We provide you the information necessary to be a competitive applicant.

Military-Specific Orientations

\ Texas A&M offers military-affiliated students orientations specifically focused on providing a seamless transition from military life to campus. These include a mandatory New Student Conference orientation for student veterans held on Day 1 of your NSC and VetCamp, an in-depth orientation that includes a campus tour and information on resources.\ \ You will also have access to a Vet Success on Campus (VSOC) counselor that helps mitigate your interactions with the VA.
