## Professional Summary

Troy Thompson is a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics. He joined the department in August of 2021. Previously, Thompson was the Business Planning and Analytics Manager at Chevron, a multinational energy company. Prior to that, he worked in market analysis and strategic planning for Deloitte, a financial services company, and Halliburton, a large oilfield services company. Troy is past president and senior fellow of the United States Association for Energy Economics. He is a member of Tyrus R. Timm Honor Registry and was recipient of a Professional Service Award from the Western Agricultural Economics Association (WAEA) in 2010.
