Texas Leadership Scholars (TLS)
\ Texas Leadership Scholars is state-wide program aimed at guiding high-achieving, community-oriented Texas high school graduates to continue to develop their leadership skills and pursue their education at a Texas public university. In addition to funding to assist with educational expenses, scholars will become part of a peer network, have access to academic support through a learning community, and be provided with opportunities for mentoring, research, internships, and education abroad experiences.\ \
Eligibility
To receive this scholarship, you must
- Graduate in the Top 10% of an accredited Texas High School or be nominated by a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator
- Be accepted for admission to Texas A&M University (College Station, TX)
- Be a Texas resident
- Register for Selective Service or be exempt from this requirement
- Have financial need as determined by the FAFSA or TASFA
- Be eligible for the TEXAS Grant

Renewal Requirements
To continue as a Texas Leadership Scholar, you must
- Have financial need as determined by the FAFSA or TASFA
- Maintain TEXAS Grant renewal eligibility
- Maintain full-time enrollment
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
- Participate in TLS activities and program requirements coordinated by the Office for Student Success
\ Texas Leadership Scholars have access to designated advisors (program liaisons) in both the Office for Student Success and Scholarships & Financial Aid.
