# Undergraduate Registration Schedules

\
The first 15 working days of preregistration (dates listed below) the system is open Monday – Friday 24 hours a day (excluding holidays).\
\
*Students can view their assigned registration times for both Galveston and College Station under the **Registration Readiness** card in Howdy. Registration notices are posted approximately mid- to late March for Summer/Fall registration cycles and mid-October for Spring registration cycles.*\
\
Students can check in Howdy (approximately mid- to late March for Summer/Fall registration OR mid-October for Spring registration) to view their assigned registration times for both Galveston and College Station. Students registering for Galveston courses will do so in accordance with the [**Galveston registration schedule**](https://tamug.edu/admissions/Records/UG_Registration_Schedules.html). Students registering for College Station courses will do so in accordance with the College Station registration schedule below.\
 \
Prior to the start of pre-registration, prior to each new registration cycle, students should expect to do the following:

- View Registration Times
- Submit Terms of Use Agreements
- Complete Location Updates
- Submit Lab Safety Acknowledgments (if you intend to register in lab courses)
- Check your account for Registration Holds

\
*Note: Holds can only be removed by the department that placed the hold. Holds not resolved prior to your assigned pre-registration time will result in your access to registration being limited, or to registration starting on or after open registration begins.*\
\
**Registration Help**\
Registration Tutorial Videos are available in Howdy on the Aggie Schedule Builder card to assist students in preparing for registration.\

## [Important Information](#a-importantinformation-eQlQYf)

\* Students with zero registered hours during the first four (4) class days of summer terms or the first five (5) class days of fall/spring semester will be assessed a $100 late registration fee when they register.\
\
+ Changes to an existing class schedule may result in additional tuition/fees; an online payment must be made by 5:00 p.m., the day the changes to your class schedule are made, to avoid a late fee or cancellation of class schedule. For more information regarding tuition and fees, please visit the [Paying Your Bill](https://aggie.tamu.edu/billing-and-payments/paying-your-bill) page.\
\
Registration schedule is subject to change.\
\
Students are limited in the number of online registration transactions each semester in order to prevent excessive taxing of our system hardware by users running unsolicited programs to search for available course seats. The majority of students are able to register for classes within this limit.\
\
**Users are prohibited from using a "bot," a "script," or other third-party programs to register for classes. Users should also refrain from excessive requests to add full sections of classes.**Doing so will likely result in exceeding the maximum number of allowed online registration transactions and the loss of registration privileges in Howdy for the term. Students exceeding their limit of online registration transactions will have to conduct any future registration activity for the semester with academic advising staff during open registration.
