# Education Abroad Scholarships

[Education abroad](https://abroad.tamu.edu/) scholarship opportunities are available to both undergraduate and graduate students at Texas A&M University. Awards typically range from $1,000 to $2,000 for one semester. Scholarships are awarded to students who display:

- high academic performance
- extracurricular involvement
- leadership experience
- interest in international travel and cultural studies
- financial need in some cases

The number of scholarships awarded in any given semester and the total dollar amount of those scholarships varies based on fund availability.\

## [Eligibility](#a-eligibility-OjRF3L)

- To be eligible for an education abroad scholarship, the Education Abroad Program Application must be completed by the semester scholarship application deadline. Program enrollment will be verified through the Education Abroad Programs Office.
- Students may be required to be enrolled full-time during the semester of their study abroad program to remain eligible for their Education Abroad Scholarship for fall and spring, and may be required to enroll half-time for a summer program.
- Education abroad programs must be outside of the United States and its territories to be considered eligible for funding.
