Diploma and Graduation Clearance

When will my diploma ship?

Degree candidates will receive their diploma after the ceremony via mail as long as they have submitted their graduation application, have met all degree requirements, and have cleared any financial obligations owed to the university. The students who pass the initial clearance can expect their diploma to ship two to three weeks after graduation. Students who clear after the initial clearance and before the final clearance deadline can expect their diploma to ship based on the scheduled posted to the Diploma Information page. An email with tracking information will be sent to the graduate’s Texas A&M email account once the diploma ships.

When can I expect to receive my diploma?

Please allow at least 3 weeks for the delivery of a diploma to an address within the continental United States. For international deliveries, please allow up to 8 weeks for a diploma to arrive. These timeframes account for current delays in shipping and potential customs delays for international orders. We appreciate students understanding and patience. For any questions or further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to degree-audit@tamu.edu.

What name will be printed on my diploma?

The name printed on a student's diploma will be the name listed on a student's official records at the time the degree is awarded. More information about the name change process can be found on the Personal Information Change page.

What happens if I fail a course or a grade is not submitted for me? Do I still get to walk?

Yes, students who have an active graduation application for degree may still walk. However, they will have to complete degree requirements by the final deadline to graduate and receive a diploma.
