We have put together recommended course sequencing for students looking to complete the AGEC 425 capstone courses in either their junior or senior year at Texas A&M University.

Completion of Minor Capstone (AGEC 424 and AGEC 425) in Junior Year

Freshman Year

Fall Semester \ AGEC 105 or ECON 202 (Minor prerequisite)\ AGEC 223 (Fall only; Minor requirement)*\ \ Spring Semester\ AGEC 105 or ECON 202 (If student did not take in the fall; Minor prerequisite)\ ACCT 209 or ACCT 229 (Minor prerequisite)**

Sophomore Year

Fall Semester\ ACCT 209 or ACCT 229 (If student did not take in freshman year; Minor prerequisite)**\ AGEC 223 (If student did not take in freshman year; Fall only; Minor requirement)\ \ Spring Semester\ ACCT 210 or ACCT 230 (Prerequisite for AGEC 434; Minor requirement)***\ AGEC 324 (Minor requirement; AGBU majors or Mays Business students may substitute MGMT 470 or MGMT 477)**

Junior Year

*A one‐hour lecture class is a requirement for the minor.

** ACCT 209 is for non‐business majors; additional courses that satisfy the business prerequisite requirements for AGEC 424‐AGEC 425 are ACCT 230, AGEC 330, FINC 341 and FINC 409.

***Upon approval of instructor, non‐AGEC majors may enroll in AGEC 434 without taking all of the specified prerequisites if student simultaneously enrolls during the spring semester in AGEC 425. However, students are encouraged to take these prerequisites, if their academic plans allow, to provide a solid foundation and to better equip themselves for success.
