Pat Tillman Foundation Scholarship

\

The Pat Tillman Foundation recognizes that veterans and military spouses face numerous challenges during the transition from military to civilian life and have unique needs that often prevent successfully completing a degree. Since 2008, the foundation has joined with University Partners who offer innovative, veteran-specific services and a proven culture of support for student veterans and military spouses. Throughout the academic year, University Partners help identify and select qualified candidates on their campus for the Tillman Military Scholar screening process.

About the Pat Tillman Foundation

In 2002, Pat Tillman proudly put his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals on hold to serve his country. Family and friends established the Pat Tillman Foundation following Pat’s death in April 2004 while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan. Created to honor Pat’s legacy of leadership and service, the Pat Tillman Foundation is a national leader in providing educational support and resources to veterans, active-duty service members and their spouses. Through the Tillman Military Scholars program, the foundation annually awards educational scholarships for military veterans and spouses who are committed to a life of service in and out of uniform. To date, the Pat Tillman Foundation has invested nearly $9 million in educational support and scholarships, helping 290 Tillman Military Scholars continue serving our country and communities through their studies in medicine, law, business, government, education and the arts.\ \ If you are interested in the Pat Tillman Foundation Scholarship, please contact Jeremy Tanner at jtanner@tamu.edu.
