## Degree Requirement Verification

\
Degree Requirement Verification (DRV) is documentation provided by degree candidates to the Degree Audit office to show they are enrolled in or meeting all degree requirements per [Student Rule 14.2](https://student-rules.tamu.edu/rule14/). This documentation can be for current in-progress courses being taken outside of Texas A&M, courses taken at Texas A&M where a grade change may be in-progress, or credit by examination.

**Submitting Degree Requirement Verification for Final Semester**\
Students currently enrolled in an in-progress transfer course(s) required to complete their degree at an institution other than Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University at Galveston, or Texas A&M University at Qatar in the semester in which they have applied for graduation, documentation must be submitted confirming enrollment in this course(s) to avoid removal from degree candidacy.\
\
Submitting an ***official transcript*** to Degree Audit is the preferred method. Providing an official transcript helps determine how transfer credits will be used to meet graduation requirements. Courses submitted via an official transcript will be viewable on your Texas A&M University unofficial transcript in Howdy for convenience.\
\
Official transcript(s) can be sent electronically, hand delivered to the General Services Complex – Suite 1501, or mailed to:\
\
Texas A&M University\
Degree Audit\
P. O. Box 30018\
College Station, TX 77842-3018\
\
**Official transcripts must be received directly from the issuing institution electronically or in a sealed envelope.\**An official transcript must have courses listed as *“In-Progress”*from the institution in which you are enrolled.\
\
**If you are unable to obtain an official transcript, alternative verification may be accepted.**\
However, these courses will not appear in Howdy and may not help determine how transfer credits will be used to meet graduation requirements.\
\
Acceptable forms of degree requirement verification include, but are not limited to, an official tuition bill with coursework listed and/or an individual student schedule of classes.\
Alternative verification in required courses can be hand-delivered to the General Services Complex, Suite 1501 or faxed to 979-845-1086.\
\
*Alternative degree requirement verification must be from the institution in which you are enrolled and must include the following*:

- Your name
- The course name(s) and number(s)
- The institution's name
- Attendance term OR course start and end dates\
  \

**Emails and enrollment verifications that do not indicate specific courses are not acceptable in order to establish your eligibility for degree candidacy.**The deadline to submit degree requirement verification is the same deadline as the Q-drop deadline, which can be found on the [academic calendar](https://registrar.tamu.edu/Academic-Calendar). Please contact the Degree Audit Office at 979-845-1089 or [degree-audit@tamu.edu](mailto:degree-audit@tamu.edu) with any questions.

- Credit by Examination (CLEP/Departmental Exams)
- Insufficient GPA

- Unmet Second Major Requirements

\
Please contact the Degree Audit office at [degree-audit@tamu.edu](mailto:degree-audit@tamu.edu) if you have any questions on acceptable forms of DRV.\
