# Diploma Information

The sections below outline what information is listed on all Texas A&M Diplomas and Certificates as well as information on when students can expect to receive their physical documents after graduation. All questions regarding physical diplomas and certificates should be directed to Degree Audit at 979-845-1089 or [degree-audit@tamu.edu](mailto:degree-audit@tamu.edu).

## [Name on Diploma](#a-nameondiploma-144zf1)

Diplomas will be printed with the name listed on the student’s official record when the degree is awarded. If a student’s name needs to be updated prior to graduation so that it is reflected on the diploma, an official name change request with supporting documentation must be completed. More information on the name change process can be found on the [Personal Information Change](https://aggie.tamu.edu/resources/student-resources/personal-information-change) page.\

**The deadline for Spring 2026 degree candidates to update the name on their student records for the diploma is 5:00 p.m. on May 6, 2026.**

## [Spring 2026 Diploma/Certificate Mailing](#a-spring2026diplomacertificatemailing-x9f-Si)

Diplomas for all Professional, Doctoral, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students will be mailed upon verification of completion of all degree requirements. Additionally, physical certificates are mailed to students that submit certificate graduation applications and complete all program requirements. Students are not charged a shipping fee for these documents. However, students are responsible for any taxes and fees that may be charged through customs for international shipments.\

These documents will be mailed to the address the degree candidate provided on their application for graduation. Diploma and Certificate mailing addresses cannot be updated by students in Howdy. Instead students should email Degree Audit ([degree-audit@tamu.edu](mailto:degree-audit@tamu.edu)) to have these addresses updated. Students can view their selected address by searching for the **Graduation Application and Status Check** in Howdy. Once a document ships for an awarded degree or certificate, graduates will receive an email with tracking information through their Texas A&M email account.\

Spring 2026 diplomas and certificates will ship starting the week of **June 15****, 2026**. Delivery for documents being mailed within the United States should take 1-2 weeks. Delivery for documents being mailed internationally can take 6-8 weeks. Please contact Degree Audit ([degree-audit@tamu.edu](mailto:degree-audit@tamu.edu) or 979-845-1089) with any questions on shipment and lost or damaged packages.

## [Spring 2026 Diploma/Certificate Conferral Date](#a-spring2026diplomacertificateconferraldate-v0YmtA)

### Diploma Date

All diplomas awarded in the main ceremonies are printed with the same date, regardless of when the graduate actually walked the stage. This date matches the graduation date printed on official academic transcripts.

- Degrees awarded from the College Station campus in Spring 2026 will have a conferral date of May 7, 2026.
- Degrees awarded from the Galveston campus in Spring 2026 will have a conferral date of May 7, 2026.
- Degrees awarded from the Qatar campus in Spring 2026 will have a conferral date of May 10, 2026.

### Certificate Date

All certificates awarded in the Spring 2026 term are printed with the date the certificate was conferred.

- January 31, 2026
- February 28, 2026
- March 31, 2026
- April 30, 2026

All certificates awarded at the end of the Spring 2026 term will be printed with a conferral date of May 7, 2026.

Texas A&M University diplomas and certificates are 16 X 12.5 inches, landscape (horizontal).

## [Duplicate Diplomas](#a-duplicatediplomas-9JWCY7)

Has your diploma become lost or damaged? The Office of the Registrar handles orders for copies of diplomas awarded in the past. Duplicate diploma information can be found on the [Duplicate Diplomas page](https://aggie.tamu.edu/registration-and-records/transcripts-and-diplomas/duplicate-diplomas).

## [CeDiplomas](#a-cediplomas-_UzyAl)

Certified Electronic Diplomas (CeDiplomas) are available for Texas A&M University graduates who earned a degree in May 2016 or later. This electronic PDF version of the diploma can be used for official degree verification purposes, such as when a potential employer needs to confirm the validity of the graduate's degree information.\
 \
Students who graduated in May 2016 or later may obtain their CeDiploma through the [Howdy](https://howdy.tamu.edu/) portal. After logging in, they should use the top search bar and search for **Certified Electronic Diploma SSO**. Selecting this result will direct graduates to the page where they can download their CeDiploma PDF. This file may then be shared with any individual or organization that needs to verify the student's degree.\

Degree validation can be completed through the [Certified Electronic Diploma Validation](https://howdy.tamu.edu/main/home/cediploma-validation) page in Howdy. Users verifying a degree do not need to log in to Howdy to complete this process. Validation requires two pieces of information:

- The **CeDiD**, found in the upper-left corner of the CeDiploma
- The **first two letters of your name**as it appears on the diploma
  - Example: if the name on the CeDiploma is Reveille Aggie, the first two letters entered on the validation page would be “Re”.

CeDiplomas are currently not available for Texas A&M University certificate programs or for students who earned a degree prior to May 2016. \
