Program Summary
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how we live, work and solve problems. In Purdue’s artificial intelligence major — housed in the College of Science — explore the foundations of machine learning, reasoning, and decision-making while learning to build systems that process data, adapt and self-correct. Gain experience with programming tools and AI techniques used in a range of real-world applications, from robotics to healthcare. You’ll also study connections between AI, cognitive psychology and neuroscience to better understand how intelligent systems interact with the world. Ethics and societal impact are woven throughout the curriculum, helping you approach innovation with responsibility. Graduates are prepared for careers in technology, research and beyond.
