Program Summary
If you’re passionate about math and want to make a real-world impact in business, finance or insurance, actuarial science might be the path for you. At Purdue, study in an interdisciplinary program offered by the departments of mathematics and statistics. Use data, probability and analytical thinking to assess risk, model future events and guide decision-making. Students in this program graduate with degrees in actuarial science and statistics — and many also pursue a minor in business management. You’ll be prepared for the first five professional exams administered by the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society, giving you a competitive edge before graduation. Purdue actuarial science graduates are in demand for roles in insurance, banking, consulting, government and beyond.
