## Enrollment Honors Plus Seal

Beginning with spring 2026 high school graduates, students earning the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal will be eligible for Indiana Resident Admissions to Purdue University West Lafayette or Purdue University in Indianapolis. You must [apply](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/apply/) to one of these locations with a complete application, including an SAT or ACT test score, by Nov. 1 of your senior year.

### About the Program and Eligibility

#### What is “Indiana Resident Admissions”?

Indiana Resident Admissions to Purdue University West Lafayette or Purdue University in Indianapolis is for students who are on track to earn an Enrollment Honors Plus Seal at the end of their senior year and who [apply](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/apply/) to Purdue University with a complete application, including an SAT or ACT test score, by Nov. 1 of their senior year.

#### How will Purdue be notified of a student’s eligibility for the program?

Each fall, Purdue will receive a list of students on track to complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal diploma in that academic year directly from the State of Indiana. Students and/or high schools will not report the information to us.

#### Does Indiana Resident Admissions apply to Purdue Polytechnic Statewide?

Purdue Polytechnic Statewide applicants participate in Indiana Pre-Admissions, which already guarantees them admission to their desired Purdue Polytechnic Statewide location and major.

#### If I’m not an Indiana resident but go to school in Indiana and complete the diploma, do I also get Indiana Resident Admissions?

To be eligible for Indiana Resident Admissions, you must be a resident of Indiana.

#### I’m a homeschooled student. Do I have a path for Indiana Resident Admissions?

To be eligible for Indiana Resident Admissions, you must be a resident of Indiana and attend an Indiana high school granting the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal.

You’re encouraged to [submit a complete application](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/apply/) for admission and send SAT or ACT scores to Purdue University by Nov. 1 of your senior year for full consideration for admission, merit scholarships and the Honors College. Indiana residents who don’t earn the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal will still be fully considered for admission. We don’t expect the absence of the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal to negatively impact admission of Indiana residents.

#### What about a transfer student who completed the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal?  I know it talks about seniors, but are transfer students specifically excluded?

Indiana Resident Admissions is intended and designed for high school students applying for college admission immediately after high school graduation.

### Understanding the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal

#### What if I don’t complete my Enrollment Honors Plus Seal? Do I still have a chance to be admitted to Purdue?

Yes! Purdue is not changing the application or [holistic review process](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/first-year-criteria/). You should [submit a complete application](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/apply/) for admission by Nov. 1 of your senior year to ensure full consideration for admission, merit scholarships and the Honors College. You have until Jan. 15 of your senior year to apply for full consideration for admission.

Please remember — it’s important to meet and exceed, if possible, Purdue’s [high school expectations](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/course-requirements/):

- Math: 4 years
- English: 4 years
- Lab science: 3 years
- Social studies: 3 years
- World language: 2 years

#### I was on track to complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal by the end of senior year, but I may not be able to complete all the requirements. Will my admission be revoked if I don’t fully complete the requirements by the end of my senior year?

Potentially. You should work to maintain the level of academic achievement you were completing at the time of application. If you ultimately fail to earn the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal, you could have your offer of admission rescinded if you were admitted as part of Indiana Resident Admissions.

Purdue also reserves the right to rescind admission for students whose academic performance falls below an acceptable threshold during the student’s senior year of high school.

Additionally, students found responsible for academic dishonesty, for a violation of high school conduct regulations or for a [criminal violation](https://admissions.purdue.edu/conduct-disclosure/) could have their offer of admission rescinded.

#### The Enrollment Honors Plus Seal requires me to get a verification form signed. I’ve been unable to get the form signed. Does this mean I cannot qualify for this program?

If you’re admitted through Indiana Resident Admissions, but ultimately don’t complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal — you could have your offer of admission rescinded.

#### My school doesn’t offer adequate coursework to meet the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal requirements. Are there alternate pathways to join this program?

We recognize that not all Indiana students have access to the same courses, and Purdue reviews applications holistically within the context of your school’s offerings. If your high school doesn’t offer the curriculum needed to achieve the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal, you’re encouraged to [submit a complete application](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/apply/) for admission and send SAT or ACT scores to Purdue University by Nov. 1 of your senior year for full consideration for admission, merit scholarships and the Honors College.

#### My high school offers coursework that could meet the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal, but I was unable to take the coursework due to scheduling conflicts or another barrier. Will I be disadvantaged in the Purdue admissions process?

#### What if my school is opting in to award the new diplomas early? Does this pathway begin as early as the 2025-26 school year (first opt in year)?

Beginning on July 1, 2025, any spring 2026 high school graduates earning the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal will be eligible for Indiana Resident Admissions.

### Impact on Admission to Purdue

#### Does this mean guaranteed admission to Purdue in West Lafayette or Indianapolis or is this guaranteed admission to the Purdue system?

Indiana Resident Admissions guarantees admission to Purdue University West Lafayette or Purdue University in Indianapolis, based on the location you select in your application for admission.

No students will be “placed” at a location.

#### What does Indiana Resident Admissions mean for merit scholarships and the John Martinson Honors College?

If you’re on track to achieve the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal at the end of your senior year and [apply](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/apply/) with a complete application for admission by Nov. 1, you’ll automatically be considered for merit scholarships and the John Martinson Honors College.

In order to be considered for the Honors College, you must indicate your interest on your Common Application and complete the two required prompts as part of your Nov. 1 submission.

Indiana Resident Admissions doesn’t guarantee anything beyond admission to Purdue University West Lafayette or Purdue University in Indianapolis.

#### Does this mean guaranteed admission to my preferred major?

No, we encourage all applicants earning the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal to select both a primary and alternate major on the application for admission. Every effort will be made to offer admission to your primary or alternative major selected. However, Indiana Resident Admissions to Purdue University for students who earn the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal doesn’t guarantee admission to the primary or alternative major. We’ll contact you if you need to choose a different major to qualify for Indiana Resident Admissions to Purdue University West Lafayette or Purdue University in Indianapolis.

#### Will this make gaining admission to Purdue even more challenging for out-of-state students?

Obtaining the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal is an incredible achievement. We don’t anticipate this program will impact selectivity for non-resident students.

#### Will this make it harder for Indiana residents to gain admission to Purdue if they don’t complete the Enrollment Honors Plus Seal?

#### If I earn the Indiana College Core, does that mean I only have two years left of coursework to finish at Purdue?

It depends. Some majors or academic colleges require specific courses within the general education requirement. While the Indiana College Core will transfer the block of credits to Purdue, depending upon your college and major, additional coursework may need to be taken to complete the general education requirements of your Purdue program.

#### The new diploma requires two credits in World Perspectives (flexible options include an advanced world language or world-focused social studies course). What is Purdue’s expectation relative to world language?

Purdue’s [high school course expectations](https://admissions.purdue.edu/become-student/course-requirements/) remain the same. You should pursue at least two years of a world language (they can be different languages) to ensure you meet the minimum expectations.

#### What happens if I’m not admitted to my first-choice major(s)?

If you’re not admitted to the major(s) you applied to, you’ll receive a notification with the opportunity to select an alternative major from a provided list. You’ll generally have about three weeks from your initial admission decision to respond.

#### Will I need to be reviewed again if I select a new major?

No, once you select an eligible alternative major, your admission decision will be updated without requiring a second review.

#### What if I have questions or need help choosing a new major?

You may receive additional support, including connecting with our [admissions team](https://admissions.purdue.edu/contact/) or your school counselor, to help you navigate your options.

#### What if I don’t make a selection by the deadline?

If you don’t select a new major by the deadline, you must follow the standard appeal process for admission consideration.
