Meet Our Students

Ishita Mukadam

Ishita Mukadam’s interest in biomedical engineering research started when she scraped her knee at 12 years old on a trip to India from her hometown in Iowa. Ishita watched as her grandmother used turmeric to treat her wound. Curious about its healing power, she began exploring its link to wound care. Now a first-year biomedical engineering student in Indianapolis, she’s helping to bridge the gap between medicine and the campus community by founding the Purdue in Indianapolis Medical Association.
