Purdue University admission decisions are made using a holistic review process. Applications are evaluated based on courses and grades that are self-reported on Common App or provided on a high school transcript. Courses taken, grades earned and test scores are the most important factors in our process, but not all we consider.

While GPA is used for reporting purposes to provide a snapshot of our applicant pool and incoming class, it’s not a factor used in the review of an application for admission. We determine our middle 50% GPA range by converting grades to an unweighted 4.00 GPA following each year’s application cycle.
