ASREC
Animal Sciences Research and Education Center (ASREC)
About Us
Across more than 1,500 acres just 10 miles from Purdue University’s main campus, this collection of animals and facilities allows the Department of Animal Sciences to host instruction, research and extension activities. ASREC moved to its current location since 1968 with the first buildings constructed in 1969 and 1970 for poultry and swine. Today, the site includes six species units, the USDA-ARS Livestock Behavior Unit Lab, farm operations and a feed mill.\
