This major aligns with the academic standards of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and graduates are eligible to sit for the SHRM Certified Professional exam without the usual two years of human resources experience.

Suzy Meh is from Carmel, Indiana, although she was born in Thailand. Currently a sophomore, she is pursuing a degree in human resource development. Meh says, “I chose this major because I have a keen interest in the leadership skills it offers.
