First-Year Application Deadlines
This section provides an overview of undergraduate application deadlines. If you’ve been admitted, visit our Admitted Student Next Steps page.
Application Dates
The first-year application is available beginning Aug. 1 and closes Jan. 15. If possible, submit your complete application by the Nov. 1 Early Action deadline in the fall. Admission will be much more competitive if you apply later. The nonrefundable application fee is $60.
Aug. 1
- Application opens: Apply using the Common App.
Nov. 1
- Early Action application deadline
- Merit scholarship consideration and John Martinson Honors College deadline
- Priority application deadline for these competitive majors:
- Engineering in West Lafayette: engineering (first-year)
- Engineering in Indianapolis: biomedical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering and motorsports engineering
- Computer science
- Flight (professional flight technology)
- Nursing
- Veterinary nursing
Priority application deadline means that we will continue accepting applications after Nov. 1 only if space allows.If you’re applying for one of these programs after Nov. 1, first check for program availability on our Closed Programs page.
- Spring term application deadline
If you’re applying for enrollment beginning in the spring, you should first check our Closed Programs page. Some majors are not available for students to begin during the spring term. This page will help you identify if your major of interest is available.
Jan. 15
- Regular decision application deadline
Decision Release
Jan. 15
- Early Action decision release: If you meet the Early Action deadline of Nov. 1, you’ll receive an admission decision on Jan. 15.
March 31
- Regular decision release: If you meet the Regular decision deadline of Jan. 15, you’ll receive an admission decision by March 31.
