## Program Summary

The most widespread use of computers isn’t in desktops, laptops or smartphones — it’s in the embedded systems all around you. These hidden computers power your car’s engine, braking system, dashboard and radio. They’re vital for your home appliances, at the heart of healthcare equipment and controlling robots and automation in factories.

When you major in computer engineering technology at Purdue, you’ll gain a deep understanding of how to design microcomputer systems that sense and respond to the world around them. You’ll learn how to connect computers to real-world devices, tackle electrical challenges and program input and output systems that drive modern innovation.
