## Program Summary

A major in mathematics is about more than solving equations — it’s about learning to think in ways that are logical, abstract and adaptive. This flexible major allows you to tailor your coursework and even add a second major or minor outside of math. Study pure and applied mathematics, gaining the intellectual sophistication needed for top careers and graduate programs. Whether you’re analyzing algorithms, modeling risk or preparing to teach, you’ll develop a mindset that’s prized across disciplines.
