Tips for applying
Take your time with the application and start early. Ask teachers and mentors for letters of recommendation and take the SAT or ACT during the spring term of your junior year. As soon as the Common App opens Aug. 1, complete the basic application form. When college applications start rolling out, you’ll be one step ahead. This can be a busy time in your life, but if you stay organized and work ahead, it’ll be manageable.
Favorite campus spot
The VOSS Model in Discovery Park is my favorite campus spot! I stumbled upon this scale model of our solar system my first year at Purdue. This model itself is breathtaking, and the area surrounding it is quiet due to its secluded location. After further research, I found out this model is dedicated to Purdue alumna Janice Voss. Not only did she participate in NASA research, but she lived in space for 48 days!
