Founded in 2004, the Energy Centre is a transdisciplinary faculty research centre. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Energy Education Trust of New Zealand, which funds a wide array of energy projects and scholarships.

## Our Mission

The Energy Centre’s mission is to provide research policy analysis and educational programmes to help business and government confront energy issues of national significance to New Zealand and offer solutions to challenges faced by the energy sector.

## Our Foundation

The centre’s three core areas of activities are research, education, and outreach (collaboration). We take pride in uniting our partners and stakeholders to create a strong, transdisciplinary team focused on developing innovative solutions to meet New Zealand’s energy needs.

**Research**

The primary goal of the centre’s research focus is to provide independent, balanced solutions for New Zealand’s energy transition priorities.
