## Where can I find opportunities to harness my creativity?

Creativity comes in many shapes and forms, from innovation and entrepreneurship to artistic and design endeavours. The University of Auckland Business School’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) provides free co-curricular learning opportunities to students and staff of all faculties of the University of Auckland. CIE brings innovative and entrepreneurial potential to life, helping participants create value, stand out and have impact.  

CIE has two innovation hubs, **Kura Matahuna – Unleash space** and **Te Ahi Hangarau – Technology Hub**, where you can learn tangible skills, meet others with similar interests, complement your formal academic studies and develop prototypes for your inventions.

## What is Kura Matahuna – Unleash space?

Free for all staff and students at the University, [Kura Matahuna – Unleash space](https://www.cie.auckland.ac.nz/locations/unleash-space/) is an environment for creating, playing, making, inventing, experimenting and doing. It is also home to the University of Auckland’s state-of-the-art Makerspace. Makerspace offers free equipment and technology training to University of Auckland students and staff from any faculty. Equipment includes 3D printers, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, CNC router, soldering station, sewing machines and vacuum formers.

## What is Te Ahi Hangarau – Technology Hub?

[Te Ahi Hangarau – Technology Hub](https://www.cie.auckland.ac.nz/locations/technology-hub/) is an innovative learning space, equipped with devices such as 3D printers, virtual reality headsets, smart home IoT and more for all students and staff.

The Technology Hub is also activated through free extra-curricular and co-curricular workshops and equipment training, open to all students and staff of the University of Auckland.
