Profile
I develop novel strategies for analyzing and identifying binding motifs and regulatory modules for transcription factors that regulate the innate immune response and specialize in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data. I have developed and published MEIRLOP, a novel method for identifying transcription factor binding motifs that are enriched in differentially activated regulatory regions. I am currently developing Enrichment Positional Profiling, to quantify the effect of motif positioning and strength on transcription factor binding and transcriptional activity. I graduated from UCSD's Biotechnology program in 2014, and from then to 2016 worked for the Jamieson Lab as a bioinformatics research assistant. I was subsequently admitted to UCSD's Biomedical Informatics program, as a fellow on the NLM Biomedical Informatics Training Grant.
