## Job Duties

**Academic Master's Degree Matters (MA, MS)**

Primary contact for the following master's programs: Astronomy, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Structural Engineering, Scripps Institution of Oceanography. PhD degree matters for Structural Engineering.

- Final degree checks and conferral
- Academic exception petitions
- Advising on policy / process

Manages graduate coordinator and graduate chair's listservs, and department contact directory

## Profile

Kelsey (re)joined the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs in 2022 as a Graduate Academic Affairs Advisor. She previously worked in the UC San Diego Neurosciences Graduate Program, and she was previously an Admissions Credential Evaluator with the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs for about five years. Prior to coming to UC San Diego, Kelsey received her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and worked in UC Irvine’s Division of Continuing Education. Born and raised in San Diego, Kelsey is happy to contribute her experience in student affairs and higher education to her hometown’s UC campus.

## Fun Fact

Outside of work Kelsey enjoys cooking vegan dishes and hanging out with her dog, Elliot.
