Profile
I am interested in decision-making and rationality, and I aspire to conduct research across disciplines such as psychology, philosophy, and literature to better understand rational decision-making in theory and in real life. Currently, I am interested in exploring how philosophical and psychological theories of rationality connect and differ, and how these theories relate to lay people’s understanding of rationality. I am also interested in applying my research to ethically help people make better decisions. For instance, with the IPE fellowship that I received at UCSD, I aim to explore the effectiveness of self nudges in improving people’s choice behavior. Upon graduation, I would like to continue studying the conceptual foundations of rationality and their behavioral expressions, and to explore these topics across cultures.
