Exchange Programs with Spelman/ Morehouse Colleges
Thurgood Marshall College administers these exchange programs, which have fees that are higher than UC San Diego's typical costs. UC San Diego's Financial Aid and Scholarships Office adjusts your financial need and awards based on these increased costs.

Academic Internship Program (AIP)
UC San Diego's AIP programs usually offer academic credit. Certain types of loans may be available through UC San Diego's Financial Aid and Scholarships Office if you're enrolled in at least 6 units per quarter.

UC San Diego Study-Internship Program
You are enrolled at UC San Diego and pay the same fees on the normal UC San Diego student budget. Because the cost of living in Washington D.C. is higher, the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office adjusts your awards based on the costs of the program.

- File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than May 2.
- UC San Diego's Financial Aid Office will determine your awards eligibility; check your award status online using the Financial Aid tool.
- Awards will be disbursed by UC San Diego and applied to your UC San Diego student account.
- Contact the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for questions regarding eligibility.
INTERCAMPUS VISITOR PROGRAM
Through the Intercampus Visitor (ICV) program, UC San Diego students may be able to attend another UC, or if from another UC you may attend UC San Diego for the quarter.

- Outgoing students: If attending another UC you will need to add their campus school code to the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application. The other UC’s financial aid office will generate a financial aid offer for that term based on your eligibility and will apply the aid towards the charges at the other UC campus.
- Incoming students: If coming to UCSD through the ICV program you will need to add the UC San Diego school code 001317 to your FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application. Once the Registrar’s office activates your UC San Diego record, the UC San Diego's Financial Aid and Scholarships Office will determine your awards eligibility. You can check your award status online using the Financial Aid tool and accepted and completed financial aid will disburse and apply to your UC San Diego student account.
