UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor of Pharmacy program has been given the status of Full accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 135 South LaSalle Street, Suite 4100, Chicago, IL 60603, 312/664-3575; FAX, 312/664-4652, website www.acpe-accredit.org.

ACPE accreditation is public recognition that a professional degree program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree is judged to meet established qualifications and education standards through initial and subsequent periodic evaluations. Accreditation is distinguished from licensure, which applies to individuals.

ACPE has an obligation to assure itself that any institution which holds an accreditation status for its professional program(s) conducts its affairs with honesty and frankness. Complaints against a school of pharmacy shall be placed in writing in detail by the complainant and submitted to the ACPE office.
