We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join our research team in the field of carbon capture and conversion, with a focus on developing advanced materials and technologies for sustainable CO₂ separation and transformation. The successful candidate will lead innovative research on CO₂ capture and its catalytic conversion into value-added chemicals and fuels. Additionally, the researcher will investigate and optimize the kinetics and mechanisms of CO₂ adsorption and reduction using novel materials such as MOFs, COFs, and other emerging porous and hybrid materials.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct cutting-edge research on CO₂ capture from flue gases and air using nanostructured materials.
- Develop, functionalize, and characterize advanced porous materials (e.g., MOFs, COFs, and related composites) for CO₂ capture and conversion
- Investigate the kinetics, thermodynamics, and mechanisms of CO₂ adsorption, activation, and reduction
- Explore catalytic and photocatalytic pathways for converting captured CO₂ into useful chemicals (e.g., methanol, formic acid, syngas)
- Prepare high-impact publications and presentations for conferences and journals
- Participate in regular group meetings and collaborate with team members and external partners
- Participate in the support and guidance of graduate students

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
- Strong background in CO2 capture (including Direct Air Capture) and catalytic conversion
- Strong background in the design, modification, characterization, and use of nanostructured materials for adsorption and catalysis.
- Solid understanding of reaction kinetics and mechanisms related to gas–solid catalytic systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong publication record in reputable journals.

**Minimum Requirements**

*(All of the following conditions must be strictly met. Applications not meeting these criteria will be automatically excluded.)*

In addition to the required skills and qualifications, the following criteria are mandatory for consideration for the position:

- PhD awarded in or after 2021.
- No D or F grade (or equivalent) throughout the applicant’s academic studies.
- An average of 5 publications per year in Q1/Q2 journals in the past 2-4 years
- The PhD-granting university must be ranked in the top 200 by QS University Rankings, both overall and by subject.

**Preferred Experience:**

- Experience in CO₂ capture via adsorption
- Experience in CO₂ conversion techniques, such as catalytic hydrogenation, photocatalytic reduction, or electrochemical transformation.
- Experience in the synthesis, characterization, and surface engineering of porous materials, especially MOFs, COFs, or other novel hybrid adsorbents/catalysts
- Experience in wastewater treatment (i.e., organic and inorganic pollutants removal from water) is not essential, but highly desirable.
- Familiarity with reaction kinetics modeling, techno-economic analysis, or life cycle assessment is a strong plus.

**How to Apply:**\
Interested candidates should submit the following documents:

1. A detailed CV, including a list of publications.
2. A cover letter highlighting relevant skills and experience.
3. All Academic Transcripts and Certificates.
4. Contact information for at least two references.\
