Dr. Waqas Rafiq joins IRC-CBM as a Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Waqas Rafiq has joined IRC-CBM as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He is currently working on the recycled asphalt pavement materials utilizing rejuvenating agents i.e., used engine and cooking oil in conventional asphalt pavement. For sustainable and better performing roads he is also working on recycled tires rubber and plastic waste for low noise and environment protection. He is utilizing different optimization techniques, mechanical performance evaluation criteria and microstructural techniques such as FTIR, FESEM, XRD and AFM to study the modified asphalt binder and mixture properties.
