Dr. Mazhar Syed joins IRC-CBM as a Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Mazhar Syed has joined IRC-CBM as a Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2023. His main research interests are in the areas of reliability application in Transportation Geotechnics, Earth-based 3D printing construction materials, use of locally available industrial waste materials for ground improvement, and stabilization of subgrade soils with fibers and alkali activated binders. He has published a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. The Indian Geotechnical Society awarded him the "Dr. M.D. Desai Memorial Young Geotechnical Engineer Award-2022" for the best article on "Geosynthetics and Natural Fibers." He holds lifetime memberships in the Indian Road Congress, the Indian Geotechnical Society, and the American Society of Civil Engineers as an Aff. Associate Member.
