About us

Director’s Message

Our world needs more energy than ever – but not just any energy. We need clean energy. To meet this challenge, the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (IRC-SES) is driving groundbreaking research right here in Saudi Arabia.

We're developing practical, sustainable energy solutions tailored to our Kingdom's unique needs. This work aligns perfectly with Vision 2030, especially the ambitious goal of 130 GW of renewable energy by 2030.

This is a bold vision, and it presents exciting challenges. At IRC-SES, we believe these challenges can't be solved by one organization alone. We are committed to collaboration and actively seek partnerships with industry leaders, innovative startups, renowned academic institutions, and government entities. Together, we can accelerate the development and deployment of clean energy technologies, strengthening our economy, developing our workforce, and building a more sustainable future for Saudi Arabia and beyond.
