### Forward Osmosis

**Forward Osmosis** is a technique that uses a semipermeable membrane and an osmotic gradient to separate salts and micro contaminants from different water streams. Unlike reverse osmosis, it doesn’t require the application of high pressure, and hence has good potential in brine treatment
