Dr. Yassir Mustafa joins IRC-CBM as a postdoctoral fellow

Dr. Yassir Mustafa has joined IRC-CBM as a postdoctoral fellow.  His area of expertise is geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering. He received his B.Sc. from Khartoum University in Civil Engineering in 2013 and  M.S. and  Ph.D. degrees from KFUPM  in 2017 and 2022, respectively. His M.Sc. thesis was on stabilization\solidification of oil contaminated soil using indigenous by-products like cement kiln dust (CKD). His Ph.D., the dissertation was on the utilization of stabilized Najd soils for use as construction materials. Dr. Yassir worked on several areas in geotechnical engineering that included the application of GIS to analyzing landslides susceptibility.
