Dr. Khan Imtiaz Afzalcompleted my Ph.D. from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hanyang University in Seoul, Republic of Korea, in February 2023. He has expertise in various aspects of water treatment, including membrane integrity evaluation, membrane fouling mitigation, the application of ceramic membranes, membrane distillation, and advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for the degradation of emerging contaminants (CECs for water treatment). His research interest includes membrane modification by 2D materials for the recovery of the metal ions from the seawater brine, photocatalytic membranes for the degradation of CECs, oil-water separation, and membrane distillation application.
