Pre-Launch of Additive Manufacturing Hub

The additive manufacturing (AM) landscape in Saudi Arabia took a significant step forward with the pre-launch of the Additive Manufacturing Hub (AM Hub) at Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV). The event, held on Wednesday, January 29, gathered 10 leading companies, including seven local 3D printing and end-user firms and three international companies joining online, reflecting strong global and regional interest in this initiative.

The pre-launch featured insightful presentations detailing the strategic advantages of the AM Hub, showcasing its role in fostering collaborative research, innovation, and industrial applications. Attendees also gained valuable insights from an overview of existing AM hubs worldwide, highlighting successful models that Saudi Arabia aims to integrate into its own ecosystem.

In a deep dive into capabilities, experts delivered presentations on advanced manufacturing technologies, including metal printing, computational modeling, and material science innovations. Additionally, the event provided an exclusive look into the available facilities at both the Manufacturing and Metals Centers, emphasizing their role in supporting cutting-edge AM applications.
