# How to Apply for an Internship

The application process will vary depending on the type of internship.

- If you are participating in an internship through an exchange program, you will follow the [How to Apply for an Exchange instructions](https://global.utexas.edu/abroad/apply/how/exchange).
- If you are applying for an internship with one of the affiliate providers you will follow the [How to Apply for an Affiliated Program instructions](https://global.utexas.edu/abroad/apply/how/affiliated).
- If you are selecting an [internship without coursework](https://global.utexas.edu/abroad/programs/internships-abroad/global-career-launch-internship-providers), you will follow the application instructions on internship provider webpage. You do **NOT** have an application to complete for UT Austin. These organizations will alert us to your application and we will contact you after you have been accepted by them.
