This “virtual exchange” will enable you to:
- Explore new cultures and global perspectives
- Work on group projects and make contacts with students abroad
- Access lectures by international experts and scholars
- Prepare for future international education or work
- Gain professional skills such as intercultural competence and digital literacy
> “I would not have had the opportunity to interact with students in other countries without this project during my degree. [It was] really valuable to hear these perspectives straight from the students.”
– UT Austin Global Virtual Exchange student, Spring 2021
## Registration Information
Enroll in a Global Virtual Exchange course as you would any other at UT Austin. There is no separate application process or additional fees to enroll; however, some courses may have prerequisites or be restricted to specific degree programs. Remain registered on campus and receive credit and grades from your home professor while globalizing your UT Austin experience.
Global Virtual Exchange courses have been offered in 12 colleges and schools at UT Austin and are taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
We recommend that students confirm the Global Virtual Exchange with the instructor prior to enrolling.
