# Visiting Students

You should apply for visiting student (transient) admission if:

1. 1. You are an undergraduate pursuing a degree at another U.S. college or university.
   2. You want to take a course at The University of Texas at Austin during a summer session without actually enrolling as a regular student.

## Application Information

1. ### The Online Application

   We use the ApplyTexas application for visiting students. The application for the summer semester opens on August 1. After you submit your application, you’ll receive an email from us that includes your UT EID. This will allow you to access MyStatus and the Document Upload System. During peak periods, this can take two to three days.

2. ### Your Application Fee

   Pay the non-refundable $60 application fee when you submit your application. You may [request a fee waiver](https://utexas.box.com/s/ttvw4h1vpe90ijh89fmufvcx7k9sgjf7) by using the Document Upload System to submit a copy of your most recent financial aid award letter or income tax return.

## Track Your Status

Monitor MyStatus for information about the status of your application.
