## Spring 2026 Academic Calendar

| January 8 – 15 | **Daily** Registration and add/drop for the spring semester for all law students. Law students must pay tuition by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15. |
| January 12 | **Monday** Classes begin. |
| January 15 | **Thursday** Tuition payment deadline is 5:00 p.m. for law students. Tuition may be paid in full or in installments. |
| January 19 | **Monday** Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday; no classes held. |
| January 28 | **Wednesday** Twelfth class day; this is the date the official enrollment count is taken. Payment for added classes (add bill) due by 5:00 p.m. Last day for a law student to add a class. |
| March 13 | **Tuesday** Final tuition payment due for students who selected the installment plan. |
| March 16 – 21 | **Monday – Saturday** Spring break; no classes held. |
| March 23 – 27 | **Monday – Friday** Early Registration for Fall 2026, through the law school website only. |
| March 23 | **Monday** Last day to apply for graduation and last day a law student may register in absentia. |
| March 30 | **Monday** Last day a J.D. student may change registration in a class to or from the pass/fail basis. |
| April 6 – 17 | **Monday – Friday** Registration for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 for continuing and readmitted students. |
| April 27 | **Monday** Last class day in the School of Law. Last day a law student may, with the required approvals, drop a class or withdraw from the University. |
| April 28 | **Tuesday** Reading day in the School of Law. |
| April 29 – May 2, May 4 – 7 | **Wednesday – Saturday, Monday – Thursday** Spring semester final examinations in the School of Law. |
| May 9 | **Saturday** Commencement (official graduation date). |

## Summer 2026 Academic Calendar

| April 6-17 | Registration and add/drop for the summer sessions; students who register on these dates can register for any summer session: first term, whole session, nine-week, and second term. To complete registration, law students must pay tuition by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. |
| April 6-17 | Registration and add/drop for the Fall 2026 semester begins for continuing and readmitted students. |
| May 5 | **Tuesday** Tuition bills for the summer session distributed to students electronically. Notice is sent to the email address on the student’s record. |
| June 4 | **Thursday** Classes begin for whole-session classes and clinics. |
| June 9 | **Tuesday** Fourth class day for whole-session classes. Last day to drop a whole-session class for a possible refund. Last day to add whole-session class. Last day to drop a class without the approval of dean. Tuition payment deadline is 5:00 p.m. for law students. |
| June 19 | **Friday** Juneteenth holiday; no classes held. |
| June 25 | **Thursday** Last day to change a whole-session class to or from pass/fail basis. |
| July 17 | **Friday** Last day to apply for a law degree. Last day a law student may register in absentia. |
| August 14 | **Friday** Last class day for whole-session classes. |
| August 15 & 17 | **Saturday, Monday** Final exams for whole-session classes. |
| August 17 | **Monday** Official graduation date (no public exercises). |

## Fall 2026 Academic Calendar

| July 28 | **Tuesday** Tuition bills for the fall semester distributed to students electronically. Notice is sent to the email address on the student’s record. |
| August 19-27 | **Daily** Registration and add/drop for the fall semester for all law students. Law students must pay tuition by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. |
| August 24 | **Monday** Classes begin. |
| August 27 | **Thursday** Fourth class day; Last day of the official add/drop period; after this date, changes in registration require the approval of the Student Affairs Office. Last day law students may register and pay tuition without the approval of the dean. Tuition payment deadline is 5:00 p.m. |
| September 7 | **Monday** Labor Day holiday; no classes held. |
| September 9 | **Wednesday** Twelfth class day; this is the date the official enrollment count is taken. Last day to drop a class for a possible refund. Last day a law student may add a class. Last day a law student may drop a class without the approval of the dean. Second tuition payment due for students who selected the installment plan. |
| October 16 | **Friday** Final tuition payment due for students who selected installment plan. |
| October 19-23 | **Monday – Friday** Early Registration for Spring 2026, through the Law School website only. |
| November 13 | **Friday** Last day to submit application to graduate in December. Deadline to register in absentia. |
| November 23 | **Monday** Last day a law student may change registration in a class to or from the pass/fail basis. |
| November 2-13 | **Daily** Registration for Spring 2027 for continuing and readmitted students. |
| November 17 | **Tuesday** Tuition bills for the spring semester distributed to students electronically. Notice is sent to the email address on the student’s record. |
| November 23- 28 | **Monday-Saturday** Fall Break/Thanksgiving; no classes held. |
| December 7 | **Monday** Last class day. Last day a law student may, with the required approvals, drop a class or withdraw from the University. |
| December 8 | **Tuesday** Reading day in the School of Law. |
| December 9-12, 14-17 | **Wednesday-Saturday, Monday-Thursday** Fall semester final examinations in the School of Law. |
| December 14-18 | **Monday-Friday** Registration and add/drop for the spring semester for continuing and readmitted students. |
