Aggie Society
:   The Aggie Society is a student organization for Aggie alumni attending Texas Law. We host social events to bring students together with alumni mentors, provide extensive networking opportunities, and offer professional development events and panels. Additionally, the organization serves the Austin area by carrying on the tradition of helping others through our annual pro bono Big Event.

American Constitution Society
:   The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS) at The University of Texas is part of a national organization of lawyers and law students dedicated to promoting a progressive vision of law and policy. The UT Chapter of ACS works to revitalize and transform the current legal debate from a staunch conservative vision that lacks appropriate regard for the ways in which the law affects people’s lives, to a more respectful vision that values human dignity, protection of individual rights and liberties, and access to justice.

:   The Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) is dedicated to addressing the interests and concerns of the Asian American community at the Law School, and to promoting awareness of the Asian culture throughout the Law School. Assault & Flattery
:   A tradition begun in 1953, Assault & Flattery is the musical theater company at Texas Law. Each spring, A&F satirizes the law school through a student written and directed musical comedy revue, generally based on popular films and Broadway musicals. A&F includes the Main Show performers, an a cappella group called the Supreme Chorus, and a live band called Sex Parte. A&F also throws many parties, happy hours, and karaoke nights. Audition with us in the fall, perform with us in the spring, or just come to our parties and events!

Board of Advocates\*
:   The Board of Advocates is a student-run honorary advocacy organization composed of the best student advocates at The University of Texas School of Law. The BOA promotes the development of all law students’ practical skills, in both oral and written advocacy, through practice and participation in mock trial, moot court, voir dire, mediation, negotiation, and client counseling competitions. Responsible for organizing all intramural advocacy competitions at the law school, the BOA competitions are open to all law students. Chicano/ Hispanic/Latino Law Students’ Association (CHLLSA)
:   The Chicano/Hispanic/Latino Law Students’ Association (CHLLSA) is dedicated to addressing the needs of Hispanic law students. The organization is open to all members of the law school community. CHLLSA provides various social and academic services, including an extensive outline library, academic sessions to discuss test-taking and studying strategies, resume and career planning sessions, bar review scholarships, and a mentoring program with second- and third-year law students and the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin. CHLLSA is committed to providing a support network.

Christian Legal Society
:   The Christian Legal Society (CLS) is a multidenominational association of law students seeking faith, encouragement, and a refuge from the challenges of law school. Activities include weekly meetings / bible studies, with informal fellowships, retreats, and special service projects. Cybersecurity Society
:   The Cybersecurity Society at The University of Texas at Austin (Tx/CSS) is a student organization that fosters an interdisciplinary community for those interested in cybersecurity law and policy. Our initiatives include attending Strauss Center speaker events and small-chats with experts in the field, in addition to bridging cyber communities nationwide and bringing awareness to upcoming cyber policy competitions.

Getting Radical in the South (GRITS)
:   GRITS is a student-run, public interest law conference that focuses on the difficulties and constraints inherent to social justice work in the South, and the unique strategies that legal practitioners and other public interest workers have developed to meet those needs.

    The conference emphasizes innovative, progressive, and even radical approaches to building community among students, practitioners, and community activists in the South to bring about social change.

    The conference is an opportunity for law students, lawyers, and activists to build coalitions, share strategies for progressive lawyering, and develop new approaches for the future.

:   Through advocacy, community-building, public education, and policy reform, Law Students for Black Lives (“LS4BL”) seeks to eradicate racial disparities endemic to America’s legal system, amplify Black voices, and empower all communities in the fight to eliminate institutional and systemic racism in American society.

    LS4BL is committed to principles of anti-racism, intersectionality, and collaboration. We fundamentally believe that, at the end of the day, social revolutions don’t happen in a courtroom. And as the ancient philosopher Cicero once articulated, “the good of the people is the greatest law.”

:   The Muslim Legal Society (MLS) brings together students of diverse sects, backgrounds, and cultures under a unified community at the law school. MLS seeks to be an organization that protects Texas law students against Islamophobia in the greater Austin community. The MLS exists to promote the voices of Muslims in the legal profession and to create a forum for campus-wide discussion of topics related to the local, national, and international Muslim community. OUTLaw
:   OUTLaw is a social and political organization designed to raise awareness of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues. Through a number of activities, including panel discussions and guest lectures, OUTLaw examines the intersection of sexual orientation, gender and the law and provides a forum within the law school to discuss matters of importance to LGBT law students and their friends.

Plaintiffs’ Advocacy & Litigation Society (PALS)
:   The **Plaintiffs’ Advocacy & Litigation Society (PALS)** is a student organization at Texas Law formed in 2023 to build a community of students, alumni, and practitioners dedicated to working on behalf of plaintiffs across an array of practice areas. It’s our goal that students interested in plaintiffs’ advocacy can turn to PALS as a single touchpoint for any resource related to the profession throughout their time at Texas Law and beyond. Probate, Guardianship Law, Estates, and Trusts Society (PGLETS)
:   PGLETS seeks to connect students with resources and practitioners regarding probate, estate planning, wealth management, guardianship, fiduciary litigation, and civil commitment law. PGLETS aims to inspire young attorneys to explore careers in probate practice, increase access to opportunities in these practice areas, and provide a point of contact between law students and the probate community. Student Bar Association (SBA)\*
:   University of Texas School of Law Student Bar Association (SBA) functions as the student government of the Law School. Accordingly, SBA officers are elected to their positions by the student body and function as, among other things, a) advocates between the student body and the law school administration, b) organizers and executors of events to promote student community, c) partners in promoting affinity groups on campus, and d) suppliers of all-grade level study materials and various “swag” items throughout the school year to promote the law school and enhance students’ feeling of inclusion.

    SBA puts on numerous events throughout the year in partnership with the Student Affairs Office, affinity organizations, law firms, and others. These events offer not only the benefits of interconnection and socialization amongst law students but chances to interact with communities outside of one’s own, effective networking opportunities with firms and legal product representatives, and professors.

    SBA is a one-stop-shop for all things that may impact a student’s time here at the Law School. Additionally, because members of our board represent a wide swath of backgrounds, personalities, professions, ages, cultures, races, genders, and more, students are made to feel that they are represented and seen. Texas Law Fellowships^
:   Texas Law Fellowships (TLF) is a 503(c)(3) non-profit corporation that sponsors public interest fellowships for students at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law. Every year since 1986, TLF has raised money from Texas Law and the Texas Legal Community to fund fellowships for UT Law students who work in public interest internships during the summer and would normally not receive remuneration for their valuable work.
