Students who drop their entire course load by definition withdraw from The University of Texas at Austin for the term.

To withdraw from the Graduate School, the student must file a Withdrawal and Refund Request form, which may be obtained by emailing Graduate Student Services at [GradStudentSvcs@austin.utexas.edu](mailto:GradStudentSvcs@austin.utexas.edu "mailto:GradStudentSvcs@austin.utexas.edu") or by contacting your program graduate coordinator. The form explains refund policies.

All requests for withdrawal must be submitted to the Graduate School via the [Graduate Student Form Submission](https://forms.office.com/r/7HtjvJWM9m "https://forms.office.com/r/7HtjvJWM9m") by the last class day of the term.

Students should consult with their graduate adviser before submitting the request for withdrawal. The Graduate School will notify the student’s program when a withdrawal has been approved.
