Through its annual financial reports, explainer videos and other resources, the University seeks to build understanding of Brown’s long-term view of financial sustainability. This includes the careful stewardship of finances to determine the funding, capital, services, programs and resources that Brown’s faculty, staff and students need to thrive and succeed.

University Resources Committee (URC)
The University Resources Committee (URC), composed of faculty, students and administrators, is responsible for recommending Brown’s annual operating and capital budget to the president.

Brown’s investments generated $853 million in gains, and the endowment provided an all-time high of $352 million for financial aid and student support, scientific research and other priorities in Fiscal Year 2025.

Brown Corporation approves new school name, sets tuition and salary pools for 2025-26

The University’s highest governing board named the Thomas J. Watson Jr. School of International and Public Affairs, approved a 4.85% increase in undergraduate tuition and fees, and a 3.5% salary pool for employees.
