Hi! My name is Maya, and I'm a member of the Class of 2026. I’m from San Francisco, California. I am concentrating in Neuroscience on the pre-med track with a certificate in Data Fluency. Outside of being a tour guide, I work at a psychiatric hospital in Providence, where I work on studies surrounding OCD and self-inhibition. I am a Meiklejohn Peer Advisor, President of the Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program at Brown, a Neuroscience TA, and an advocate for Connect for Health, which connects patients at local hospitals to community resources. I went abroad to Copenhagen in my sixth semester, but I’m very happy to be back in Providence for my senior year! I also enjoy traveling, hiking and backpacking, rock climbing, and trying new restaurants in Providence. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
