Across a wide range of doctoral, master’s and medical degree programs, students and faculty work together to shape rigorous, research-based experiences that respect and develop each student’s interests and ideas in ways that ultimately advance the trajectory of their careers.
Graduate education plays a central role in Brown’s mission. More than 3,500 graduate and medical students comprise approximately one-third of the University’s total student population. They contribute in significant and enduring ways to teaching, research and the advancement of knowledge across the disciplines.

Master’s Programs at Brown support close to 40 residential, professional and online master’s programs that fuel intellectual curiosity through student-centered learning and market-responsive curriculum.
Brown’s nearly 50 doctoral programs balance disciplinary depth with an integrative approach that leverages the vast resources of the broader University.
Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School offers an integrated medical curriculum alongside clinical experiences, as well as combined master's and doctoral programs in leading health and policy areas of societal impact.
