# Eligibility Requirements for RUE Applicants

# Eligibility Requirements for RUE Applicants
- Applicants must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and have been out of high school for six or more years by the time of proposed enrollment at Brown.
- Individuals who have previously earned a bachelor’s degree or have substantially more than two years of full-time college experience are not eligible for the program.
- Applicants with **little or no college experience** are considered RUE first-year applicants. Evidence of some college-level or postsecondary work is not required, but strongly encouraged.
- Those with one to **two years of college credits** are considered RUE transfer applicants.

## Start Your Application
RUE applicants complete the RUE application, not the Common Application. The application is available October 1 for prospective entrance in the fall of the following year. The annual application deadline for the RUE program is March 2 for entrance in September, 2026.
