Which teachers should I choose to send recommendations to Brown?

We require two letters of recommendation from teachers who have taught you in major academic subjects (science, social studies, mathematics, a foreign language or English) and we will accept up to four letters through the [Common Application](https://www.commonapp.org/).  Please note that if you are considering a Bachelor of Science degree or the [Program in Liberal Medical Education](https://www.brown.edu/academics/medical/plme/), at least one of your recommendations should come from a math or science teacher.

May I submit additional letters of recommendation?

May I submit examples of my academic work?

I'd like to submit an art or music portfolio - how do I do so, and how are they reviewed?
