# Summer Study Away & Financial Aid

These requirements must be satisfied to be considered for any federal aid:

- Satisfy all financial aid application requirements for both the current year and the upcoming year.
- Complete and submit the Summer Aid Application for Study Away/Abroad found in the [Forms](https://www.brown.edu/about/administration/financial-aid/undergraduate/financial-aid-forms) section of our website. This will be available in May each year.
- Complete and submit the Consortium Agreement found in the [Forms](https://finaid.brown.edu/forms "Forms") section of our website.
- Use Brown's [ASK/Advising Sidekick](https://ask.brown.edu/home/) to request full approval for transfer credits.
- Submit a Refund Request through the [Student Financial Services website](https://www.brown.edu/about/administration/bursar/policies).

Those studying away domestically in the summer are not eligible to receive the Summer Grant which is offered by the School of Professional Studies. See requirements above if you are interested in federal aid (primarily federal loans) that may also be available to eligible students.
