# Health Insurance Scholarship

Brown is proud to offer coverage through United Healthcare Student Resources.

If a student is receiving University need-based scholarship and **does not have comparable insurance coverage** (which also includes no current coverage), Brown will provide additional scholarship funds to cover the cost of the Brown's Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Please note that in order to be eligible for this scholarship, a student **must** submit a waiver and receive a denial. Any questions can be directed to [studenthealthinsuranceplan@brown.edu](mailto:studenthealthinsuranceplan@brown.edu) or may be found on their [website](https://healthservices.brown.edu/fees-insurance/student-health-insurance-plan-ship).
